NDIR gas sensor

NDIR The importance of methane sensors

JX-CH4-103 series is a sensor for methane measurement using NDIR non-dispersive infrared technology.

After the infrared radiation emitted by the infrared light source is absorbed by a certain concentration of the gas to be measured, the spectral intensity proportional to the concentration of the gas will change. Therefore, the concentration of the gas to be measured can be inversely calculated by calculating the change of the spectral light intensity. Infrared methane sensor module adopts the NDIR infrared absorption detection principle, combines advanced optical path, precision circuit and intelligent software to form a general infrared CH4 sensor module.

This product adopts imported MEMS infrared light source and double-channel pyroelectric detector, processing of measurement and reference signal, and temperature compensation, even in harsh temperature and environmental conditions, also can obtain stable and reliable measurement results. NDIR products with good selectivity, high sensitivity, no oxygen dependence, long life and so on.

JX-CH4-103 series products are made of aluminum square tube polishing process and production. This product can be widely used in coal mine gas detection, oil and gas detection, chemical gas production and air detection process monitoring, can be installed in chemical industry, coal mine, oil field, intelligent buildings, sound and light alarm controller, robot, automobile and other applications.

What is methane gas?

Methane is a very important fuel and a major component of natural gas, accounting for about 87 percent. At room temperature and pressure, methane is colorless and odorless; The special taste of household natural gas is an artificial smell added for safety, usually methylmercaptan or ethomercaptan.

At atmospheric pressure, the boiling point of methane is -161℃. As long as the gas content in the air is more than 5 to 15 percent, it is very flammable. Liquefied methane does not burn unless it is in a high pressure environment (usually 4 to 5 atmospheres).
